You love a good burn, even in your bones.

Do your bones ache when you take a deep breath? You’ve lived quite thoroughly. You saw the beginning and end of many things. The tears brought you smiles which brought you to sad endings and a constant state of tiredness. You’re so fucking tired. You threw a lit cigarette out on the highway in summer heat and burned the entire town down. You danced through the ashes and claimed the ruins as your own. You love a good burn, even in your bones. Take the lives you’ve lived in such a short amount of time and let it all puddle to the center of your mind. Remember that you’ve felt every pain point that was meant to break you. Felt the yearning for a better day and begged the world to spare you. Felt everything. But here you are, breathing it all in without holding your breath. Taking as much of it in as possible without wondering if it’s too much. Without wondering if your sadness holds enough space. Without out letting the wilted parts of you win completely. Sadness is loud. It screams through empty hallways and echos in the most quiet of places. It rattles your bones and makes them ache. -AMT ©️
