You heal loudly.

You write about every warning sign, but blow through every red light for the thrill of it. You swear to never stare at another sunset, but find yourself dancing outside at dusk. You tell me that strength is a verb and you rehearse it every day. It’s laced in some sort of recklessness that you need to hold onto. So ignore the flashing lights and speed through the city. Forget our names for awhile and go back home when you’re ready. But even though you swore to ignore that sunset, know we’re still looking up at it. -AMT ©️
