These things feel dangerous, but they’re right in front of me.

Does the silence scare you? How deep is l the lake behind your house? I guess you’ll never know until you dive in. I can’t swim, but I can drown. I can turn into a ghost real quick. I can turn my insides out with just enough poison. These things feel dangerous, but they’re right in front of me. I’m tempted to give into it all when you try and break the silence. Long talks. Baby smile. Count your knuckles before swinging and I’ll catch every punch. Soft hands, an even softer landing. It never fooled me, anyways. -AMT©️
