Let the river take you as its own.

I’m letting the world fall from my fingertips. My edges are rigid. My mind is folded neatly and I’m the only one who can unravel the whole thing. Chasing euphoria, but I’ll never fully grasp it. Clenched fists, ready to fight. If you’re the one who jumped in deep waters then you must want to drown- everyone knows you can’t swim. Float endlessly. Let the river take you as its own. Water-log every pore until the sun no longer burns. Go where you need, but please drown out my memory. Leave me like summer ending. Feel free, okay? If nothing else, feel free.
